Everyone who gets into the match has to deposit 100k .
They get the 100k back at the end of the game if they stayed.
Their 100k goes to who ever is left at the end of the match if they leave, thus rewarding the people who stuck through the game.
What do you guys think? o:

Talos Vagheitan wrote:How about we implement better matchmaking rather than double punishing noobs who don't want to sit through 15 minutes of getting red line camped. 16 people join, that' 1.6mil in the pot
The fewer people left the bigger your cut, on top of what you would already get from the match. If it's you alone, it's going to be like playing 5 matches for pay out in one. I don't see how you lose.

Carrot. Not the stick.
This method uses both, thus, twice as effective.

Carrot. Not the stick. This method uses both, thus, twice as effective. Sure. Until the power goes out. Or you get disconnected because of an internal error. Or because a member of your squad didn't deploy with you. Or because of Scotty. Multitude of reasons why collateral for pub matches is a terrible idea.
Squads have been reduced to limit the amount of people that can D/C Also, what do you think still happens when the enemy is paired up forthe squad thats backing out to pick up there guy? It will be unbalanced.
i you D/C in a match you usually lose your suit anyway, so your still losing isk in reality.
Scotty wouldn't be an issue because I'm talking about battle deployment, beyond the waiting screen.
The biggest problem is that people are leaving, not those issues which you are talking about so I think the priority should go to the more damaging factor to the community.
The only real reason not to want it, is if your one of those that frequently leave battle.

Are you seriously going to troll my thread with recruiting? Go post int he recruiting section :/ G.L.O.R.Y. CEO: be advised, VF is not trolling or recruiting in your thread. We are offering a serious option that does not require CCP to develop anything or change the game direction from its current state. We are offering content driven towards the deep end of the pool. We are offering motivation beyond SP gain, KDr, isk collection and other hamster wheels that lead to burn-out. We are providing the greater DUST community a choice - make the game a success or do not. The game is playable and fun enough that we are all here doing what we do. We have the infrastructure and tools to grow interest and involvement that will drive the PCU up. If we drive the PCU up we can measure the impact on things matchmaking and game performance. But more importantly we can all have a better time with a game we love. Because we won't be grinding and worrying about W:L, KDr, etc. You can fight for a cause. Help us over-turn the board. Wipe it all clean. I'm not recruiting I'm offering. If DUST dies it will be because we stopped playing. Play for a reason. Make something different happen. If that's all the cause you need then great! There it is. Need more? Do it for Ratatti - return on investment for his year of effort. Show CCP what we can do. Need more? Do it for the good old times you all miss...Know how many old vets and forum warriors are in my corp chat? Do it for whatever reason you want but stop asking what CCP can do for you, start doing what you can for DUST.
I'm disreguarding your statements as I was referring to the last line of your post, your not only doing it in this topic too. Go to the recruiting forums.

If you don't, then you stand to gain a lot more then lose.
And it's only 100k, it's not like your putting up a mil or anything. So if you do need to leave a match, your not loosing much.
If you leave all day, your going to go bankrupt and it will teach you a lesson about screwing over everyone who does stay in the battle you left.

People are going to leave no matter what and a collateral is not going to stop them. You will not stop this by punishing players, you will only stop it by encouraging them to stay in the first place.
People want easy wins and not to die. How do you suggest that gets solved?
